About the Authors:

Ramendranath Datta taught at Asutosh College of the University of Calcutta for more than three decades. As a Selection Grade lecturer and the head of the prestigious English department of the institution he was engaged in teaching a wide range of texts. His predominant research interests focus on Indian English Literature, literary criticism, English poetry. He co-edited C.U. English Honours Questions: An Essential Companion ans is loved and respected by students for his excellent method of teaching and charming personality.

Dr. Nilanshu Kumar Agarwal is Senior Lecturer in English at Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli, Uttar Predesh, India. He is the co-author of INDIAN LITERATURE: A Critical Casebook and the editor of Discovering Stephen Gill: A Collection of Papers and Articles. Dr. Agarwal's current researches focus on Indian Aesthetics, Diaspora and Contemporary Critical Theory. His interviews with a number of contemporary literary figures, as well as his research papers, book reviews, articles and poems have appeared in publications, including South Asian Review, The Vedic Path, IJPCL, Quest, The Confluence, Kafla Intercontinental, Pegasus, IJOWLAC, The Journal, Promise, The Raven Chronicles, Yellow Bat Review, Poetcrit, Carved in Sand, Turning the Tide, Blue Collar Review, Creative Writing And Criticism, Bridge-in-Making, Katha kshetre and Hyphen. Several anthologies have selected his poems and literary works including The Pagan's Muse and The People's Poet: Summer Community Magazine. His poem 'Tempest of Passion' won the second place at the Webstatic Poetry Contest of 2000. He has also been included in International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, published by American Biographical Institute, Inc.Dr. Agarwal edits Parnassus: An Innovative Journal of Literary Criticism.

Dr. Kanwar Dinesh Singh is an eminent poet, scholar and a literary critic. He was awarded the ‘Sahitya Akademi Award’ by the Government of Himachal Pradesh for his poetry book House Arrest (2000) and the ‘Acharya Mahavir Prasad Dwivedi Samman’ for his book of Hindi poems entitled Put-bhed (2003). He is the author of Feminism and Postfeminism: The Context of Modern Indian Women Poets Writing in English, Contemporary Indian English Poetry: Comparing Male & Female Voices and New Explorations in Indian English Poetry. He has also co-authored INDIAN LITERATURE IN ENGLISH: A Critical Casebook. His poems, reviews and articles have appeared in several leading newspapers, journals and magazines including The Indian Express, The Hindustan Times, National Herald, New Quest, Poetry Today, Journal of Indian Writing in English, Poet, Poetcrit, Continuum, The Quest, Indo-Asian Literature, Indian Book Chronicle, Art and Poetry Today, Heaven, Metverse Muse, The Brain Wave, Bridge-in-Making, Canopy, Kafla, World Poetry, Wanderlust. Dr. Singh presently teaches at Government College, Sanjauli, Shimla as a Senior Lecturer in English. He is an Academic Counsellor for the various programmes in English language & literature of the Indira Gandhi National Open University and an Associate of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study at Shimla. He edits Litcrit India – a journal of creative and critical writing in English and hyphen – a monthly of contemporary thought and human values.
